# Medicare Annual Enrollment ends December 7 — 3 things to check before then

Medicare Annual Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. If you have a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan, this is your window to change it for 2027 — and plans change more than most people expect. Before December 7, check three things.

First, your doctors: networks change every year, and a doctor who was in-network this year may not be next year. Second, your prescriptions: drug lists and costs change too, so check every medication, not just the expensive ones. Third, your total costs: don’t compare plans on the premium alone — add up the deductible, copays, and out-of-pocket maximum to see what the year really costs.
